Job Description

National Manufacturing, Engineering & Supply Chain Recruiter

Navigate Search – New York Metro Area | Hybrid or Remote

About the Role:

Navigate Search is expanding its national presence across Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain, and we’re looking for an entrepreneurial, sales-driven recruiter who knows how to build business.

This is not a warm desk. We’re not looking for someone to simply manage a book of existing requisitions. We’re looking for someone who can develop new client relationships, generate new business, expand existing accounts, and/or bring a portable book of clients with them.

You’ll have the platform, resources, recruiting infrastructure, and leadership support to build a highly profitable vertical — but the expectation is that you own the business development and revenue-generation side of the equation.

Whether you have an established network of manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain clients or you’re an experienced recruiter ready to make the transition into a more entrepreneurial role, this is an opportunity to build your own business within Navigate Search.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop new business within Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and related industrial markets
  • Prospect, open, and develop relationships with new clients across the U.S.
  • Leverage your existing network and relationships to bring over and expand client accounts
  • Identify companies with hiring needs and turn those opportunities into revenue
  • Build and grow a book of business within a defined industrial niche
  • Own client relationships from initial business development through delivery and account growth
  • Partner with our recruiting team to deliver exceptional candidates against the business you generate
  • Expand existing accounts by identifying additional hiring managers, divisions, and business units
  • Develop a market strategy around areas such as manufacturing operations, engineering, supply chain, procurement, logistics, and plant leadership
  • Become a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their workforce challenges, hiring cycles, and talent markets

The Markets:

We specialize in high-value industrial talent markets, including:

  • Manufacturing: Plant Management, Operations, Production, Lean/Six Sigma
  • Engineering: Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Process, Manufacturing
  • Supply Chain: Planning, Procurement, Logistics, S&OP, Operations
  • Leadership: Plant Leadership, Operations Leadership, Supply Chain Management, Engineering Leadership

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3–5+ years of recruiting experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial, or a related market
  • A strong business-development mindset and genuine interest in sales
  • Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and generate new business
  • An existing network or portable book of clients is highly valued
  • Comfortable prospecting, cold calling, networking, and creating opportunities rather than waiting for them
  • Entrepreneurial, self-directed, competitive, and motivated by uncapped earning potential
  • Strong understanding of technical, operational, or industrial talent markets
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with hiring managers and decision-makers

What We Offer:

  • Competitive base + uncapped commission — up to 50% of billings
  • Significant earning potential tied directly to the business you generate
  • The opportunity to bring over and build your own book of clients
  • Recruiting and delivery support so you can stay focused on business development and relationships
  • National market opportunity — you are not limited to the NY/NJ market
  • Leadership support and mentorship without micromanagement
  • Hybrid work model with NY/NJ coworking access
  • Opportunity to build and eventually lead your own vertical or practice
  • Defined progression into Practice Leadership, Managing Director, or niche subject-matter expertise
