What you need to do:
- Drive Sales & Customer Relationships: Manage key branch accounts, ensure accurate invoicing, address customer concerns promptly, monitor incoming sales leads, retain existing customers, and pursue opportunities to regain lost contractor and commercial accounts.
- Lead Safety: Enforce the use of required safety equipment, conduct monthly safety meetings and branch safety audits, manage employee certifications, and maintain required safety documentation and equipment records.
- Manage Inventory & Supplies: Monitor inventory levels, purchase and maintain appropriate stock of glass, sealants, CRL supplies, and other materials, and identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Oversee Daily Operations: Provide customer service, supervise the glazing department, manage purchasing, monitor and respond to emails, coordinate daily jobs and emergency work, and support the sales team with work orders.
- Manage Personnel & Administration: Maintain employee, vehicle, and workers' compensation files; review and approve payroll timecards; conduct performance reviews; and handle disciplinary matters as needed.
- Manage Financial & Project Performance: Understand P&L statements, purchasing, and profit management while ensuring accurate time tracking and invoicing for City Service work.
- Estimate & Manage Projects: Prepare small- to medium-sized contract estimates and oversee project management activities from start to completion.
What you'll need:
- Leadership and personnel management experience
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Sales and account management capabilities
- Experience managing branch or service center operations
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Knowledge of inventory management and purchasing
- Ability to enforce and manage workplace safety requirements
- Understanding of P&L statements, purchasing, and profitability
- Experience with estimating and project management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to urgent customer and operational needs
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency with LX for quotes, work orders, and invoicing
- Experience with payroll/timecard systems such as Paycom
- Ability to coordinate effectively with sales, field, warehouse, and glazing teams
