Occupational Therapist

Role Description The Occupational Therapist would be an independent contractor and would provide individualized and small-group occupational therapy services to students in an on-site school setting in New York, NY. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, delivering direct interventions, and documenting progress in alignment with each student’s goals. The therapist will collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom and home environments.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation to assess needs and deliver effective interventions.


• Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Pediatrics to understand child development, diagnoses, and best practices in care.


• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families.


• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in New York.


• Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.


• Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is strongly preferred.


• Ability to maintain accurate documentation, manage a caseload, and follow professional and ethical standards.


• Commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive, and gender-neutral practice when working with students and families.
