Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Construction Worker role based in San Diego, CA. The Construction Worker will assist with excavation, grading, and site preparation tasks, including moving materials, clearing work areas, and supporting equipment operators. Daily responsibilities may include basic masonry work, flooring and renovation support, measuring and marking layouts, and maintaining clean and safe job sites. The role also involves following instructions from supervisors, adhering to safety protocols, and helping ensure projects are completed on time and to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Construction skills, including general construction labor and experience with site preparation and grading.


• Masonry skills, such as basic brick, block, or stone work for structures or hardscapes.


• Research skills to understand project requirements, materials, and safe work practices.


• Ability to follow safety guidelines, use hand and power tools, and work effectively outdoors in varying conditions.


• Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability, with the ability to take direction and work independently when needed.


• Physical ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor safely.


• Previous experience in construction or related trades is preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA safety training) are a plus.
