Job Description

Isotrol is a global leader in utility-scale energy management software and control solutions, managing 190+ GW of renewable energy assets via our systems across solar, wind, battery storage (BESS), and more.

As our North American team expands, we are seeking to bring another Proposals Engineer on to execute technical review, design development, and commercial pricing for new opportunities alongside our growing proposals group.

Position Overview

Reporting to the US Sales Engineering Manager, you will work closely as part of our expanding team to evaluate client RFP packages and convert asset-level requirements into tailored technical solutions and proposals. Following onboarding and training, you will assume leadership over high-value proposal developments totaling millions of dollars in potential business opportunities.

While exposure to SCADA, Power Plant Controllers (PPC), or grid integration would be considered a plus, we provide comprehensive training on our solutions so it is not necessary. We prioritize analytical rigor, strong initiative, and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, executable proposal strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • RFP & Technical Analysis: Evaluate dense client Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation packages, identifying core technical scopes, site requirements, and risk factors.
  • Solution Engineering & Pricing: Develop site-specific proposals, bills of materials (BOM), and competitive pricing models for high-value commercial opportunities.
  • Vendor & Procurement Coordination: Communicate directly with vendor networks to secure quotations and specifications for non-standard hardware solutions that have been requested.
  • Pipeline & CRM Management: Maintain accurate, regular tracking of opportunities, technical notes, and proposal stages within Salesforce CRM.
  • Offer Review & Quality Control: Partner with internal engineering, legal, and commercial teams, conducting formal proposal reviews before final delivery to clients.
  • B2B Commercial Support: Support the US commercial team in technical alignment meetings, clarification emails, and contract reviews - managing scope adjustments, resolving technical inquiries, and delivering offers.

Qualifications & Core Competencies

Core Qualifications

  • Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in STEM or practical technical experience elsewhere.
  • Analytical Acumen: Detail-oriented mindset excited to learn quickly in a technical environment
  • Communication & Tools: Clear written and verbal communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
  • Work Ethic & Environment: Strong work ethic and growth mindset with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative environment as well as work independently.

Valued Experience (optional)

  • Professional Experience: 1 to 3 years of professional experience
  • Functional Background: Experience in technical proposals, sales engineering, or technical operations. Familiarity with Salesforce CRM or similar commercial tracking tools.
  • Domain Knowledge: General familiarity with renewable energy systems (PV, Wind, BESS) or industrial automation systems (SCADA, PPC, RTUs).
  • Hardware Familiarity: General familiarity with industrial hardware (communication panels, weather stations, servers, etc.).

Work Arrangement & Location Expectations

  • Hybrid Preference: 3 days/week in-office at our US Headquarters in downtown Denver, CO (preferred). Low travel requirements.
  • Remote Flexibility: Fully remote US-based candidates will be considered, with occasional travel to Denver HQ for team alignment.

Compensation & Professional Development

  • Benefits: TBD Healthcare info, Dental, Vision, 401k Match, PTO, etc…
  • Support: While focused, independent analysis will be a key part of this role, you will work closely with an accessible team dedicated to your development.
  • Management: Direct reporting to the US Sales Engineering Manager, with opportunities to regularly interact with senior leadership, including the Head of US and global management teams.
  • Growth & Flexibility: Clear career pathways to advance into roles across engineering, B2B sales, and procurement. Given our team growth and expanding US presence, Isotrol works closely with employees to build personalized development paths that support their career goals.

Here at Isotrol, we are committed to building a culturally diverse workforce and therefore strongly encourage applications from underrepresented groups. We are committed to equality of opportunity and welcome applications from all individuals, regardless of their background.
