Quality Assurance Manager

Hays Fluid Controls is seeking an experienced and driven Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality strategy and help elevate performance across our manufacturing operation. This is an exciting opportunity for a quality leader who enjoys solving complex challenges, building high-performing teams, and creating systems that deliver measurable results.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to influence plant-wide decisions, partner with cross-functional leaders, strengthen supplier quality, lead certification and compliance efforts, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact product reliability and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Quality Assurance team.


• Establish and execute the organization's quality strategy, goals, and performance metrics.


• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve product quality, reduce risk, and enhance operational performance.


• Analyze quality data and trends to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.


• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and leadership teams to ensure quality objectives are achieved.


• Develop and maintain quality systems, procedures, controls, and documentation.


• Lead root cause investigations and corrective action plans for significant quality issues.


• Manage supplier quality performance through audits, evaluations, and ongoing collaboration.


• Oversee PFMEA development and risk mitigation activities.


• Coordinate and lead third-party certification audits, including FM and UL certifications.


• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations.


• Champion a culture of quality throughout the organization.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


• 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, manufacturing, or engineering leadership.


• 5+ years of supervisory or management experience.


• Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and methodologies.


• Experience with statistical process controls, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.


• Excellent communication and leadership skills.


• US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in metal manufacturing, casting, forging, plastic injection molding, or related industries.


• Experience building or transforming quality systems and processes.


• Supplier quality and auditing experience.


• Familiarity with FM, UL, government, or customer-specific quality requirements.
