Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Renal Medical-Surgical Unit | Night Shift

Location

Zanesville, OH | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and post-dialysis needs on a high-acuity Renal Med-Surg unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry continuously, performing frequent patient assessments
• Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Manage complex medical-surgical conditions requiring continuous monitoring and multidisciplinary coordination
• Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of recent Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience
• Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
• Epic EMR proficiency is mandatory — no training will be provided; proficiency must be clearly documented in submission
• Competency assessment required on Day 1

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience caring for renal patients in an acute care setting
• Comfort managing high patient turnover in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong critical thinking skills and demonstrated adaptability across similar Med-Surg specialties
