Energy Counsel




Konexo Legal Resourcing is seeking an Energy Counsel with significant experience in regulatory compliance, enforcement, and legal advisory for the electric utility sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record advising on FERC and NERC matters, leading teams, and managing complex regulatory proceedings. This opportunity is an independent contractor role for project-based work and is ideal for individuals who are freelancing or looking for limited duration opportunities.





  • Start date: As soon as possible

  • Work pattern: Part-time, 15-25 hours per week, potential for Full-time hours as well

  • Contract duration: 6+ months, potentially up to a year

  • Location: Remote




What you should have:





  • Qualified energy attorney with 5+ years’ experience in regulatory compliance and enforcement in a law firm or corporate law department setting

  • Deep knowledge of FERC regulations, NERC Reliability Standards, and electric utility industry practices

  • Prior experience with renewable energy and/or smart grid highly desirable

  • Excellent research, writing and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while balancing competing deadlines

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and an active bar membership in good standing in your state of residence
