Röchling Automotive is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team and lead the planning, logistics, and material flow activities within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in supply chain management, materials and production planning, logistics, inventory control, and warehouse operations, along with a proven track record of leading teams and driving continuous improvement in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain and logistics operations, ensuring the efficient flow of materials from suppliers through production and to customers.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise internal and external logistics flows, including material planning, transportation, shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to support production schedules and customer requirements while minimizing inventory and logistics costs.
- Lead Materials Planning and Production Planning activities, balancing customer demand, production capacity, inventory levels, and supplier availability.
- Manage and monitor customer requirements, including delivery schedules, forecasts, releases, and changes in demand.
- Coordinate closely with customers, suppliers, purchasing, production, quality, engineering, and other internal departments to resolve supply chain issues and prevent disruptions.
- Oversee supplier performance and material availability, identifying risks and developing appropriate corrective actions.
- Manage inventory levels, inventory accuracy, and material flow while identifying opportunities to reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
- Lead shipping and receiving operations and ensure compliance with established procedures, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain logistics processes, workflows, standard operating procedures, and performance standards.
- Monitor key supply chain and logistics KPIs, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions to improve delivery performance, inventory, productivity, and cost.
- Manage logistics and supply chain costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
- Lead and develop cross-functional logistics and supply chain teams, promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support and lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain and logistics operations.
- Utilize ERP/SAP systems and advanced Excel tools to analyze supply chain data, identify trends, and support business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable automotive industry requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Materials, Logistics, or related functions within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably within a Tier 1 automotive supplier.
- Previous experience in injection molding or plastics manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- 3–5 years of leadership experience managing supply chain, materials, logistics, or cross-functional teams.
- Strong experience with Materials Planning, Production Planning, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Shipping & Receiving, and Transportation/Logistics.
- Experience working directly with automotive customers and suppliers, including customer releases, forecasts, delivery requirements, and supplier performance.
- Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, KPI management, and root-cause analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of supply chain metrics, inventory control, logistics costs, and operational performance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
