Location/Schedule: Manhattan, NY (Hybrid)

Base Salary: $200K

Practice: Aviation and transportation litigation for airlines, manufacturers, and their insurers. Crash, cargo, products, and wrongful-death files. An insurance-defense background is the right way in.

Our client is a nationally known aviation and transportation firm with offices in New York, Washington, and Chicago, and corresponding counsel abroad. The New York group tries cases. A partner first-chaired a three-month products trial to verdict in 2024. The clients are carriers and manufacturers, and they stay on the file. Insurance-defense lawyers who can take a deposition and write a motion are who they hire.

What You’ll Actually Do:

• Defend aviation, transportation, and products claims in New York state and federal court.


• Take and defend depositions, including experts.


• Work crash and cargo investigations with the trial team.


• Draft motions and prepare cases for mediation and trial.


• Speak directly with carrier and manufacturer clients.

Requirements:

• JD and active New York bar


• 3–8 years post-bar insurance defense, products, or transportation litigation — current Associate, Counsel, or Partner


• Depositions taken in the last 24 months
