Management Company Accounting Associate

We are partnering with a highly regarded global investment firm in NYC that is expanding its Management Company Accounting team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a high-performing accounting professional, particularly someone coming from Big Four public accounting, who wants to transition into a top-tier asset manager and continue building a long-term career in a sophisticated finance environment.

This is not a fund accounting role. The position sits within the firm’s Management Company Accounting function and supports the accounting, financial reporting, controls, and regulatory processes for the firm’s U.S. and international management companies.

Responsibilities:

• Support monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules


• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reporting


• Assist with regulatory and compliance-related reporting


• Partner with colleagues across Finance, Legal, Compliance, and other internal teams


• Help improve accounting and reporting processes through automation and emerging technology


• Take ownership of recurring accounting responsibilities while continuing to expand scope over time

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of accounting experience


• Big Four public accounting background strongly preferred


• CPA required, or all four sections of the CPA exam passed


• Strong understanding of financial reporting, close, and core accounting principles


• Experience within financial services, asset management, banking, or capital markets is a plus


• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail


• Excellent communication skills

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base salary: $120,000-$160,000


• Year-end bonus, guaranteed in the first year
