Role Description

The Physician Assistant will provide direct patient care, including performing histories and physical examinations, diagnosing common conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans under physician supervision utilizing eClinicalWorks as the EHR. The role involves close collaboration with physicians, medical assistants, and administrative staff to coordinate care, provide family education, and support preventive health initiatives. Additional responsibilities may include participation in quality metrics and population health management. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Queens, NY, requiring consistent presence in the clinic and active participation in the care team.

Qualifications

• Current Physician Assistant license in New York State and graduation from an accredited PA program; NCCPA certification preferred.


• Clinical experience in family medicine is preferred, including conducting examinations, diagnosing conditions, and managing treatment plans for children and adolescents.


• Strong skills in patient and family communication, including the ability to explain medical information clearly, provide education, and address questions with empathy and cultural sensitivity.


• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment with physicians and support staff, maintaining professionalism and respect.


• Proficiency in electronic health records and basic computer applications, with strong attention to detail and accurate documentation habits.


• Capacity to manage a steady patient volume, prioritize tasks, and maintain organization in a busy outpatient setting.


• Commitment to evidence-based practice, ongoing professional development, and adherence to all clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards.


• BLS/ACLS certification required; PALS certification and prior outpatient pediatric experience are highly beneficial.
