  • Test, configure, and troubleshoot protective relays, control circuits, circuit breakers, switchgear, transformers, and associated equipment.
  • Review relay settings, electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and wiring drawings.
  • Utilize electrical test equipment and manufacturer-specific software to verify equipment performance and settings.
  • Document test results, equipment settings, deficiencies, and corrective actions using PowerDB and other reporting tools.
  • Coordinate with customers, OEM representatives, contractors, and project teams to complete field assignments safely and efficiently.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with electrical power-distribution equipment and field troubleshooting.
  • Background in electrical testing, commissioning, maintenance, or OEM field service.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and equipment drawings.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn testing and configuration software.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel approximately 50%, including occasional out-of-state projects.
  • Willingness to work occasional extended hours, nights, or weekends based on project requirements.

Highly Preferred Experience

  • Protective relay testing, settings, configuration, or troubleshooting.
  • NETA acceptance testing or maintenance testing.
  • OEM field service experience with Schneider Electric, Siemens, Eaton, ABB/GE, or similar manufacturers.
  • Secondary injection testing, circuit-breaker testing, PowerDB, or related electrical testing software.
  • NETA certification or other relevant electrical testing credentials.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay up to $70/hour, depending on experience and certifications.
  • Weekly pay via direct deposit.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) with company match and HSA.
