We are working with a National Insurance Defense Law Firm, looking for an Insurance Defense Partner to join their team. Specifically, they are looking for someone who has 10+ years experience, with a book of business.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience
• 5+ years of insurance defense experience
• Portable book of business - $300k+
• Previous experience in either; medmal, products liability, premises liability, etc.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in the state you reside in

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense cases, from initial claim evaluation to final resolution.
• Conduct thorough legal and factual research, and develop effective defense strategies for clients.
• Draft various legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs to support defense strategies.
• Handle written discovery, take and defend depositions, and prepare witnesses for these proceedings

The annual salary for this position is between 250k-400k. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
