Work Environment

This onsite position is situated within a hospital setting in El Paso, Texas. As a full-time Dermatology Physician Assistant, you will primarily engage in outpatient services, which means no night shifts or weekend obligations. The role involves a structured schedule, typically requiring a commitment of four or more days a week, allowing for a well-balanced lifestyle while catering to a busy practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively within the guidelines set forth by the supervising physician to provide comprehensive dermatological care.
• Independently assess, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of dermatological conditions, while knowing exactly when to consult with the supervising physician for complex cases.
• Manage an average of 30+ patients per day, utilizing EMA, our Electronic Health Record system, to document patient interactions effectively.
• Deliver exceptional patient care by maintaining a calm demeanor, demonstrating empathy, and providing clear instructions and information about procedures.
• Supervise and provide guidance to clinic staff, ensuring high standards of clinical practice and patient experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to treat a diverse patient population, ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients, with various dermatological needs, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancers, and cosmetic concerns. Our emphasis on supportive and empathetic patient interactions ensures that individuals are comfortable discussing their skin health, resulting in improved overall patient satisfaction and adherence to medical advice.

Qualifications

• Active Board Certification as a Physician Assistant and a valid State Licensure to practice in Texas.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in dermatology or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in clinical dermatology and an understanding of aesthetic services.
• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Exceptional organizational skills that facilitate efficient management of a busy patient schedule.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package is competitive and reflective of the qualifications and experience you bring to the role, with a salary range of USD 150,000 to 200,000 per year.
