Director Asset Management

A growing real estate investment and asset management platform is seeking an experienced Director of Asset Management to join its team. The organization owns and invests in a diverse portfolio of real estate assets, with a significant presence in Florida and continued growth through new investments, development, redevelopment, and strategic partnerships.

This is a highly visible, hands-on position working directly with the CEO and key operating partners. The Director of Asset Management will be responsible for driving performance, making strategic asset-level decisions, and creating value across a portfolio that includes hospitality/resort, vacation rental, multifamily, and other real estate investments.

The portfolio includes a combination of established operating assets, newer investments, and select assets requiring repositioning or more active asset management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the financial and operational performance of a portfolio of real estate investments


• Develop and execute annual asset-level business plans, budgets, forecasts, and strategic initiatives


• Analyze monthly financial results, operating performance, cash flow, NOI, and key performance metrics


• Identify opportunities to increase revenue, reduce expenses, improve operations, and enhance asset value


• Make and support key asset-level decisions based on financial performance, market conditions, and investment objectives


• Provide ownership-level oversight of third-party operators, property managers, and other operating partners


• Oversee capital improvements, renovations, redevelopment, and other value-creation initiatives


• Evaluate asset performance against underwriting and investment objectives


• Partner with leadership on acquisitions, new investments, due diligence, and the transition of newly acquired assets


• Assist with refinancing, recapitalization, dispositions, and other strategic initiatives


• Prepare financial analysis, investment recommendations, and reporting for senior leadership and investment partners


• Work closely with accounting, finance, operations, lenders, investors, legal counsel, and outside partners


• Manage multiple assets and initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Ideal Background

• 7+ years of experience in real estate asset management, acquisitions, investment management, development, or a closely related owner-side role


• Strong preference for experience with a real estate owner, investor, sponsor, developer, REIT, family office, or private equity platform


• Demonstrated experience as a decision-maker, with the ability to evaluate performance, identify issues, and execute strategies to drive results


• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, valuation, and investment returns


• Experience evaluating asset-level operating performance and developing strategies to improve results


• Hospitality, resort, vacation rental, multifamily, or mixed-use experience is highly desirable


• Experience with acquisitions, redevelopment, renovations, capital projects, workouts, or special situations is a plus


• Ability to effectively manage relationships with operators, property managers, lenders, investors, and other external partners


• Strong business judgment with the ability to move between detailed financial analysis and broader investment strategy


• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
