Sports Turf Supervisor
Position Summary:We are looking for a responsible and experienced Sports Turf Supervisor to lead our groundskeeping and sports turf maintenance across school facilities. The Sports Turf Supervisor will manage a team, assign tasks, and ensure all work meets contractual and safety standards.

Pay: $24.50-$26.50 per hour.
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
Main Responsibilities:
Supervise and support groundskeeping staff on a daily basis.
Assign groundskeeping and sports turf maintenance tasks and ensure all areas of the property are maintained properly.
Train and mentor groundskeeping team members, promoting a culture of excellence and efficiency.
Conduct routine inspections to maintain standards and address any issues promptly.
Manage inventory of groundskeeping supplies and equipment, ensuring proper use and storage.
Respond to and resolve any grounds maintenance or production issues quickly.
Communicate with site leadership and other departments as needed.
Ensure safety procedures are followed when using groundskeeping equipment (trimmers, mowers, blowers, etc.)
Maintain records of staff attendance, and performance evaluations.
Perform groundskeeping and sports turf maintenance work when extra support is needed or in emergencies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
1+ years of supervisory experience in groundskeeping services, preferably in a campus, or large facility environment.
Knowledge of grounds keeping and sport turf maintenance procedures, tools, and safety guidelines.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple
Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand and walk for extended periods up to the entirety of the shift.
Preferred Skills:
Basic computer skills for reporting and scheduling.
May require early morning or evening hours based on schedules.
Must be able to respond quickly to urgent maintenance needs.
Bilingual – especially Spanish – is a plus.
