Work on a 46-bed Transitional Care / LTC/SNF unit (R7) in a hospital setting
Patient population consists of a mix of medical and surgical patients who are medically ready for discharge
Maximum patient ratio of 1:8
Equipment includes specialty beds (Stryker, Synergy Air), Philips vital sign monitors, overhead lifts, Sara Steady, standing scale, bladder scanner, Hover Mat, Sage Mat, stretchers, wheelchairs, walkers, and slide boards
EMR: Epic (experience required)
Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Every other weekend required
No on-call requirements
May be floated to other units based on skillset
Float policy extends up to 25 miles between facilities as neededRequirements
Active ME RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience required
Epic or comparable EMR charting experience required
Driver's License required for consideration
SSN and DOB required for consideration
2 professional references required for considerationAdditional Information
Provide transitional care nursing to medical and surgical patients preparing for discharge
Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this at the time of consideration
Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (in Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and may be subject to a different pay rate
Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
Healthstream education modules required as part of onboarding
Scrubs may be any color; facility is fragrance-free
Artificial nails, hoodies, graphic t-shirts, open-toed shoes, and other unprofessional attire are not permitted
Use of AirPods, laptops, and personal cell phones on the unit is prohibited
