• Employment Type: Local ContractWCS Healthcare -is currently -seeking a Pediatric Emergency Room Nurse a for a 13-week contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Newark, NJ. -Job Function:
  
  • Shift & Hours: nights only - 2 openings 7m-7:30am -EOW
    
  • Responsible for managing the care of adult and/or pediatric patients experiencing life-threatening problems requiring complex assessment, high intensity therapies, and interventions -
    
  • Provide support, education and comfort to patients and their families during their emergency room experience -
    
  • Close communication with all members of the healthcare team, as well as the ability to independently recognize the need for early intervention -
    
  • Prepare patients for surgery or diagnostic testing -
    
  • Provide IV insertion, intubation, medicine administration, blood drawing, and many other medical procedures -
    Job Requirements:
    
    • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing -(BSN) -
      
    • Current RN license for the state of NJ
      
    • 2 -years of PEDS ED RN experience is required -
      
    • BLS, ACLS, -certifications -from the American Heart Association -are required -
      
    • RTO: MAX 7 days
      
    • May rotate to Emergency Transitional Care Unit
      
    • COVID-19 Vaccine: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations Allowed
      
    • Flu Vaccine: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only
      
    • EPIC experience preferred
