About the Position

AlliedTravelCareers is working with Jackson HealthPros to find a qualified Surg Tech in Nashville, Tennessee, 37205!

Join our team as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist in Nashville, TN, where you will function as a member of a cardiac surgical team, assisting physicians and nurses in the operating room during complex cardiac procedures. You will prepare the CVOR, sterilize and set up instruments and equipment, maintain aseptic technique, anticipate surgeon needs, and support patient safety before, during, and after procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduation from a surgical technology program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent credential.
• NBSTSA certification as a Surgical Technologist (preferred if specified by client).
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a certified CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environment.
• Experience in cardiac operating rooms with exposure to open and robotic cardiac surgery (e.g., da Vinci Xi, DV5) and high-volume cardiac programs.
• Familiarity with cardiac-specific instrumentation and procedures, including assist with sternotomy, bypass procedures, and transplants.
• Ability to work in a high-case-volume setting supporting multiple cardiac surgeons and complex case mixes.
• Preferred: prior experience with heart failure and heart transplant cases and working in ORs with 8+ cardiac rooms or similarly large cardiac services.

Assignment Details:

• Facility Type: Hospital (Cardiac Operating Room).
• Shift Name: Days.
• Shift Hours: 06:45–17:15.
• Work Hours per Week: 40 hours.
• Schedule Pattern: Rotating days based on an 8-week schedule.
• Call Requirements: Cardiac Surgical Technologist call rotation includes 10 call shifts per 8-week schedule; call shifts are 12 hours each.
• Case Mix: High-volume cardiac program with multiple cardiac ORs, robotic and open procedures, and transplant cases.
