Safety Manager
Location: 100% on-site
Compensation: $95,000 - $105,000

The Basics
  • Seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and manage site Safety programs
  • The Safety Manager will serve as a subject matter expert and may lead others, depending on site needs

Ideal Background

  • Formal education in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a science-based discipline
  • Qualified to function as a Safety Manager with strong technical and regulatory expertise

  • Mentor employees and, when applicable, provide direct supervision
  • Support staffing plans, labor utilization, performance management, and corrective actions

Key Responsibilities of the Safety Manager

  • Implement and manage Safety programs to meet regulatory and site-specific needs (e.g., OSHA 300, LOTO, TRR) as the Safety Manager
  • Evaluate existing and new Safety programs, recommending improvements
  • Lead incident investigations, identify system causes, and drive corrective and preventive actions
  • Monitor and trend injury, illness, and incident data, ensuring accurate reporting in Safety systems
  • Oversee site Safety plans, procedures, and training as the Safety Manager
  • Communicate findings and compliance gaps to leadership and support timely resolution
  • Partner with Enterprise Safety teams and foster engagement with the Joint Safety Committee

Preferred Qualifications for the Safety Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related science field
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in a Safety Manager or equivalent role
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local Safety regulations
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills

Additional Requirements

  • OSHA certifications as required

  • Ability to implement Enterprise Safety Standards and site programs
  • Skilled in employee training using multiple delivery methods
  • Strong incident investigation and root/system cause analysis capabilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively across diverse teams and respond confidently in emergencies
